Welcome to Bouquino (“the App”), provided by Robin Kanatzar (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of the App

• The App helps users practice reading in a second language by importing text from photos or screenshots and providing word translations.
• You must use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. Accounts & Subscriptions

• Some features are available only through a paid subscription (monthly or annual).
• Payments are processed through Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s payment terms apply.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
• Refunds are not provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by Apple or applicable law.

3. User Content

• The App allows you to upload photos or screenshots for text recognition. These remain on your device and are not shared with us.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use any material you import into the App.

4. Intellectual Property

• All rights in the App (including design, functionality, and content provided by us) belong to Robin Kanatzar.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App, except as permitted by law.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee error-free translations or uninterrupted service.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new Terms.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Bouquino (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles your information.

1. Information We Collect

• On-device content: Text, photos, and screenshots you import for reading and translation remain on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
• Analytics (TelemetryDeck): We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect limited, non-personally identifiable information to understand how the App is used. This includes:
  • Identifiers: Anonymous identifiers that do not directly identify you (e.g., an app-scoped anonymous ID).
  • Usage Data: Events such as app launches, screen views, feature usage, and basic performance metrics.
  No precise location, contact information, health/financial data, or user-generated content is collected by TelemetryDeck via our integration.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
• To diagnose and fix technical issues and measure performance.
• To make informed product decisions (for example, which features are used most).

3. Third-Party Services

• TelemetryDeck (Analytics): We send anonymized usage signals to TelemetryDeck for analytics. TelemetryDeck states that it collects only non-personally identifiable Identifiers and Usage Data. • We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your data.
• Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying metrics via App Store Connect.

4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process analytics data based on our legitimate interests in understanding App performance and usage (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Where required, we will obtain your consent before enabling analytics.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. TelemetryDeck is designed to minimize personal data; nevertheless, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain analytics data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described above and in accordance with TelemetryDeck’s retention practices. We do not maintain personal user profiles.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• You can contact us to ask questions about our analytics practices.
• Depending on your location, you may have rights to object to or restrict processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because our analytics are anonymous and not linked to an identifiable individual, some rights (like access, deletion, or portability) may not be technically applicable.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Our analytics are anonymous and do not directly identify users.

9. International Transfers

TelemetryDeck may process analytics data on servers outside your country. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) may be used by TelemetryDeck or its subprocessors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App or on our website. If changes are material, we will take additional steps as required by law.
